Ziplining on Maui

As you can tell, I love to play outside!  And I live for the adrenaline rush.  Well, this past summer, when I went home, I tried ziplining for the first time.  Oh how I wish Utah had a zip line company.  And I'm not talking about the little zip line in Park City - I want some REAL zip lines like they have in Hawaii or Costa Rica.

The zip line in Park city is OK - if you're a pansy.  They strap you in and then you slide down to the bottom where they slow you down *rolls eyes*.  No adrenaline rush there.  Next time you're somewhere where they offer ziplining from tree to tree - try it!  I know you'll have a blast!

Here's a short music video of my Hawaii ziplining experience:

  1. Wow that was insane! I am truly jealous that you have gotten to experience something like that. I am from Montana originally and there is nothing like that for miles around i think here is probably the closest zip line that is around. Although i was in Whistler, BC and they have some pretty sweet ziplines although i haven't been on a single one I'm always afraid of the massive Wedgie I would get from this crazy ride! haha

I havent done it in Hawaii but I have done it in mexico and on cruises and stuff. Where is this located on Maui?

  3. Yes, O'ahu has a cheesy one in Kaneohe. It's kind of like the one in Park City where you go straight down a 400 ft. line at about 25mph. I haven't tried it so I can't say if it is fun or not. The one on Maui is upcountry in Kula. The ones on Kauai are supposed to be the best but I haven't tried them either. If you want some real fun - go MudBugging on Kauai. In fact, that just gave me an idea for my next post! :)

  5. I love ziplining! I would recommend it to anyone. The first one I ever went on was the one in Park City. To those who have never done it, it's a good starter one. The first few seconds when you step off of the platform into nothing can always tickle the tummy, but it is a nice slow coast down the hill after that. Ziplining is sooo addicting, and over all too fast.
